More About The Guests

Robyn Towt

Robyn is a three time cancer survivor, most recently diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. She had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction with silicone breast implants which caused an array of debilitating health issues. Robyn had the implants removed after just four months and all of her symptoms completely resolved. This experience led her to become an advocate for raising awareness about breast implant safety and proper informed consent.
She has shared her testimony twice at the FDA in Washington D.C., became co-founder of Global Patient Advocacy Coalition (GPAC) and is also an administrator in various online support groups for women who are suffering from Breast Implant Illness. Robyn worked extensively with Arizona legislators in passing an informed consent law for breast implant surgery and our GPAC team is currently working on similar legislation in several other states.  GPAC has also partnered with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) to develop a patient decision checklist that was created collaboratively with plastic surgeons, patient advocates and the ASPS Government Relations team. She is passionate about raising awareness and protecting patients. Robyn believes every patient should be given the opportunity to make an informed and educated decision regarding breast implants and every patient deserves to have all of the information prior to having surgery.

Amanda Porta

Amanda Porta is known as The Holistic Beauty Coach on Instagram. She has worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years and has seen the trends come and go. Celebrities and influencers are now reversing their plastic surgery as they have come to the realization that the procedures seem to accelerate the aging process, rather than make them look younger, and they are now speaking out to warn others of the dangers.

Amanda’s experience with breast implants was a wakeup call that inspired her to change her beauty routine and her entire lifestyle to a more holistic and natural approach. Her job title shifted from patient care coordinator to patient advocate as she helps patients who may have experienced medical gaslighting as she did when she was chronically ill.

The Health Institute

The Health Institute was founded by Dr. Josh Axe to teach the ancient principles of health to the modern world. Our mission is to empower every individual to transform their mind and body through time-tested practices and protocols that have helped people heal for thousands of years.
